One half of the fashion powerhouse that is the Mimrans, Kimberley Newport-Mimran is responsible for what is now a global label known for “understated luxury and sophisticated sportswear.” The Canadian line can be found at elite stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Holt Renfrew. Also appearing on the runway during the week will be Kimberley’s designer husband Mr. Joseph Mimran…
JOE Fresh
Joseph Mimran has been in the industry for more than 25 years so you know he knows his stuff. As creative director of the Joe Fresh brand, he offers stylish yet affordable looks for the whole family. Not only is good ol’ Joe an incredibly successful designer, but he is also an astute businessman. Under his direction, JOE Fresh has become one of the top brands in Canada and boasts over 330 Canadian stores.
Caitlin Power
Calgary-born Caitlin is all about the “Power Woman” and that is definitely something we at View the Vibe can relate to. Her architectural detailing and sleek tailoring has propelled her brand into the international fashion realm. Says Power, “My goal is to dress women in clothing that will make them feel superior. The brand represents confidence, sophistication and power.” That is some serious Girl Power talk… and I like it!

Rudsak
Who doesn’t love a bit of leather in their life? This well-known Canadian brand has been providing creative and quality designs since 1994 and takes inspiration from James Dean and Audrey Hepburn. And I do love me some Audrey.
Travis Taddeo
Hailing from Montreal, Travis is a self-confessed jersey addict. Combining the casual fabric with leather and silk results in unexpected and unique designs that have propelled his career into the fashion stratosphere and the most amazing part is, he has only been at it for 5 years. Pretty impressive I’d say. Watch out for this one.
Matthew Gallagher
Born in Nova Scotia, educated in Italy, based in Toronto. As well-traveled as he is talented, Matthew has been fashion focused since he was a teenager and will be making his debut at this year’s World MasterCard Fashion Week.
Cara Cheung
Young, talented and gorgeous to boot, you may find yourself wanting to dislike this fellow Torontonian. But we don’t roll like that at View the Vibe and we would never risk an opportunity to rock one of her designs! Cara is a favourite with eTalk hosts and MuchMusic VJs, and once you see what she’s got to offer, it’s not hard to see why.
Mercedes-Benz Start Up
This program mentors Canadian talent and provides a platform to discover up-and-coming Canadian designers who have been in business for less than 5 years. The program allows participants to present to a panel of industry professionals and gives them access to a launching pad which could help kick start their career. This is one that’s easy to get behind.
