These days it’s impossible to survive the city without regular access to reliable WiFi. While a data plan is fine for your phone, whenever you want to grab a larger PDF, view a YouTube video in HD, or perhaps stream the World Cup, something a little stronger is definitely required. Toronto has hundreds of free WiFi hotspots in the city, but in order to make this list they need a little… more. Whether it is a patio, a quiet environment, unrestricted WiFi, or just plenty of sockets for your laptop, these are the best hotspots with WiFi in Toronto…
Dark Horse Espresso
With four locations scattered throughout Toronto, Dark Horse offers a roomy experience, incredible beverages, very solid WiFi, and generally a number of plugs available for laptop owners. Some locations certainly are better than others though, and if they’re busy you may be asked to pack up and haul out.

Café Novo
Café Novo is a staple in the community according to locals. It is a bit eclectic, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea – excuse the pun. The small space offers few seating options, but the WiFi is free and they serve a wide array of organic and gluten-free drinks and treats.
Insomnia
Warm food, solid service, late night hours, and great WiFi – that is the best way to sum up Insomnia. Whether you need a connection during the day, or just a way to stay distracted in the evening, Insomnia is a great choice.
Fuel+
Fuel, located on Church Street, is a truly great place to get your coffee and a WiFi fix. They offer anything you might need to kick-start your day, from protein shakes to espresso and everything in between. They also have a reasonable amount of seating for customers and are warm to cofficers.

Strada 241
Some of the friendliest staff you will find work at this Italian restaurant which is a rare gem. Strada 241 has some incredible food to go along with its staff. Oh, and yes, their WiFi is unrestricted and very fast! This place should be on the top of your list if you want more than coffee.
Lucullus
Lucullus is designed as a coffice and the WiFi here is incredible – perhaps the best of this list in our experience. The space upstairs is amazing as well, with more than enough outlets to keep all the laptops powered! Definitely check out Lucullus.
Aroma Espresso
For Starbucks fans, you might find Aroma a little confusing at first, but get your coffee, grab a seat, and log into the WiFi and you will fall in love with this chain. They currently have about 20 locations across the city, but, naturally, some locations are better than others, so try them out and find which one best fits your needs.
