The former Jacques Bistro Du Parc space has seen a complete transformation. What was once a restaurant inspired by the culture and cuisine of France has turned into a luxurious, speakeasy-like bar that exudes modern style. C Suite is a bespoke cocktail and whiskey bar, and recently opened in the Yorkville area thanks to a well-known restaurateur. Read on to find out more about Yorkville’s newest addition to Toronto’s nightlife scene.

The new bar is the latest concept from mixologist extraordinaire Albert Han, responsible for all of the trendy, buzzed-about concoctions at Markham’s Kiu Japanese Restaurant. The reservation-only space offers the same kind of Instagram-worthy, trendy cocktails that pay homage to authentic Japanese flavours while offering a unique twist. Even the names of the drinks are unforgettable, with offerings like The Herbal Diamond Fizz and the Cafe Cumberland (a tequila and espresso fusion) complementing a Smokey Old Fashioned that’s served in the open mouth of a ceramic animal.
Even the presentation of the drinks is unforgettable, with round ice cubes spinning in glasses while drinks are expertly crafted by Han, who helms the bar. His one-of-a-kind creations are served in a space that embodies the Yorkville atmosphere, with rich colours, bold textiles and dim lighting capped off by wood panelling and unique tiles on the floor and around the bar. Blended together, it creates an old-meets-new vibe that serves as the perfect backdrop for drinks that are set on fire and served on pedestals.

C Suite has a bit of a speakeasy vibe as well, as the new spot only accepts guests on a reservation basis, which can only be made by calling the bar. At the time of writing, Han’s new project doesn’t even have a website, adding to the exclusive vibe.
C Suite is located at 126A Cumberland Street.
