If there’s a drag picnic in Toronto that would be as lit as a firework, it’s obviously one that comes with a Katy Perry-theme. Does that sound like a teenage dream? Okay, okay, I’ll stop with the puns. The excitement is real though, with the unique free event brought on by a partnership between the pop star and Skip The Dishes. It’s also part of the food delivery service’s ‘Did Somebody Say’ campaign, based on Perry’s hit song.
Drag Picnic in Toronto
Taking place on June 18, which is National Picnic Day, the event is happening at 164 Bathurst Street. There will be three seatings at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, each one slated for 90 minutes.
Along with a selection of mouthwatering food and beverage options, guests will be entertained by performances by Canadian drag queens. Xtacy Love, Luna Dubois, Tash Riot, Miss Moco and Devona Coe.

In line with campaign, all the food and drinks are inspired by Perry’s ‘Did Somebody Say’. The singer even released a special video that was created as part of the partnership. In true Katy Perry fashion, there’s funky costumes, bright colours and catchy lyrics. Oh and lots of food as well.
There’s a sweet treat to the deal too. Fan-favourite Craig’s Cookies is also getting in on the fun with a limited-edition Katy Perry-inspired Black Cherry Pie flavour cookie! This will be available at the picnic, and also at the store’s Church Street location.
So if you don’t want the picnic to be the one that got away, you can book your time slots on Open Table.
