The snow has arrived, which means the holiday season is upon us! Keeping in line with traditional Toronto moments, Christmas windows have been unveiled and trees have been lit. Here are some of the locations you can check out for some fun and exciting holiday cheer!
Hudson’s Bay
Hudson’s Bay on Queen St. West revealed their five window displays on Thursday, November 14. Each display is a part of Santa’s workshop and features various elements like making snow and ornaments. An interactive feature has also been added to one of the windows. Pressing a button on the outside will get you a high-five from a robot inside the display.

CF Toronto Eaton Centre
If that wasn’t exciting enough, Toronto Eaton Centre’s annual tree lighting also took place on November 14. Thousands of people gathered at the mall to witness the unveiling of the 108-foot-tall tree, the largest of its kind in the country. A total of 160,000 LED lights adorn the tree this year. The lighting event was hosted by Canadian tennis champion, Bianca Andreescu.
Toronto Christmas Market
The Toronto Christmas Market also officially opened its doors to the public with its own tree lighting ceremony. The opening ceremony of its 10th year was celebrated with a performance by one of Canada’s top artists, Chantal Kreviazuk. The Balsam Fir Christmas tree stands tall at 50 feet and is lit up completely with a theme of cool blue and silver.
Visitors can have their pictures taken by the new Poinsettia wall and enjoy some of the best seasonal treats. The market will be open every day from November 14 to December 22, except Mondays.

Holt Renfrew
The department store is also joining in on the fun with their pop-up shop at Stackt Market that will be held from November 13th to December 1st. Visitors can find a range of holiday gifts and merchandise that are available at Holts. The display includes the exclusive holiday toile print accessories, an edited assortment of women’s contemporary and leather goods and more!
Nordstrom Canada
Make your shopping season even more convenient by availing of services provided by Nordstrom Canada. Whether it’s Curbside Pickup, Styling Services or Alterations for holiday dressing, they’ve got it all. The following services will be included just for the holidays:
- Free Gift Wrap: Complimentary gift wrap in-store on all Nordstrom purchases.
- Early Bird Pick-Up: From now – Dec. 30, stop by any Nordstrom store as early as 8 a.m. and use the curbside pickup to beat the rush.
Holiday Monogramming Stations and personalization on Casetify phone cases will also be offered at select stores.
CF Fairview Mall
No holiday season is complete without a photo of you and your furry companions! At select times, guests can head over to the CF Fairview Mall and get a pet photo clicked with Santa.

All pets must be up-to-date on their shots. They must either be on a leash (only solid leashes no more than 2 meters long. Retractable leashes are not allowed) or in a lightweight cage. Owners will be responsible for their pets at all times.
Bramalea City Centre
The RBG Lit Christmas Tree is set to be a new addition to the BCC’s festive decor. The area will also feature light shows which are scheduled throughout the holiday season. Visitors can expect a larger than life gift box decoration which will light up the mall. It’s also the perfect photo opportunity for everyone!
An endless list of activities will be available for visitors at the mall. Photo-ready installations, Instagrammable decorations, and Breakfast with Santa (Friday, Dec. 1 from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.) are just a few of the things ready to spread the holiday cheer. And of course, who would want to leave with getting a picture taken with Santa Claus? There will be new and improved decor for kids and adults to enjoy some festive photographs.

Yorkdale Shopping Centre
The centre has partnered with Coach to present guests with The Coach Tree Unveiling. It will certainly be a fun evening of shopping and carolling, along with the tree lighting event. Santa Pet Night will also be featured at the mall every Sunday till December 15th from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
