I’m sure many of you will relate when I say that my food and drink cravings are drastically affected by the seasons… and on Mother Nature’s mood. In the winter I’m all about hearty meals featuring lots of red meat and red wine, whereas the spring and summer call for lighter salads, seafood, ice cold beers, and easy sipping whites. Normally around this time of year I would have fully made the switch to lighter fare, but with Ms. Nature being characteristically unpredictable I have yet to commit to the change.
But double digits are finally making an appearance, which means that it’s time to pull in the reins and get back on track for lighter nights and skimpier wardrobe choices. Vegetable salads are trending around the city right now, making getting your nutritional fill so much easier with creative twists and flavour combos. Check out some of our favourite spring vegetable salad dishes available in Toronto right now; providing perfectly light and healthy choices for sunnier days. Happy munching!
