Once back in Toronto I pulled out my iPhone and downloaded Carrot Fit off iTunes. I was greeted by what appeared to be a “fatty” saying “greetings flabby human!” Well hello to you, too! I thought. I proceeded to enter my current weight, height, and goal weight only to be told that I was a chubby meatbag. I automatically ate only veggies that day. Every morning the fat woman voice reminded me to weigh myself and gave me “rewards” in the form of workout tips if I lost weight. I once entered a higher weight to see what would happen and the fat woman told me “the circus called and they want their… oh never mind.” Nice.
Other features of the app include being able to share your weight loss (or gain) goals on social media – yeah, I’ll get right on that – check your body mass index, and it will apparently be offering more features in the future. My take? I used it for a week then stopped. It’s basically a weight recorder that talks to you – sometimes you laugh and sometimes you want to throw your phone across the room.
