Ever wonder what makes Pizzeria Via Mercanti’s pie so good? Nicki Laborie sits down with PVM’s Romolo Salvati to find out…
Have you tried the pizza at Via Mercanti? Because if not, go and have one — ASAP. Along with several other local media, Vv Magazine can confirm that Via Mercanti serves the best pizza in Toronto. Currently with two locations –and a third on the way– the man behind this fantabulous pizza is Romolo Salvati, who opened the first Via Mercanti in Kensington Market three years ago. Serving Neapolitan-style pizza along with authentic pasta and panini staples, Via Mercanti has been noticed by everyone, including You Gotta Eat Here’s John Catucci.
So what’s Romolo’s passion behind the pizza? Does he have one? Vv Magazine’s Nicki Laborie sits down with the animated pizzaiolo to find out what his passions are, how he ended up in Toronto, and what he does on his day off in our latest webisode of Gossip Grill.
