When we think of the West Coast, plenty of images spring to mind ranging from the rugged to the refined… When searching for a spot to score the perfect West Coast style brunch with a view, we found the perfect place to hole up and indulge: Lift Restaurant Bar + Grill.
Located alongside the Seawall in Coal Harbour, nothing offers quite as quintessentially a Vancouver dining experience as this waterfront vantage point. Not only does Lift offer up delectable bites, but you’ll get a killer view of all the harbour action, Stanley Park and North Shore Mountains.
Stunning vantage point aside, Lift is a spectacular place to wind up if you’re searching for a modern twist on classic dishes with a definitive West Coast touch – exactly what we found when we perused our way through their fully-loaded iPad of options on a sleepy Sunday morning.
In true vibe-style, we eschewed coffee in favour of trying out their signature VanCity Caesar cocktail (you know what they say, ‘hair off the dog that bit you!’). Made with Skyy Citrus Vodka spiked with wasabi and fresh grated ginger, obligatory spicy beans and pickled cauliflower – the drink was a meal in itself even without the Pepperoncini stick added to the mix.
Without getting too much into our boozy details (we may have ordered up a glass of BC Sauvignon Blanc as well), let’s get down to details pertaining to our morning order – thanks to the helpful suggestions of our server who pushed us to try the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Brulee, Dungeness Crab Benedict and Pacific Omelette.
We won’t bore you with all the details in-between, check out our vlog to get true culinary appreciation of just how up-Lift-ing brunch was indeed…
