This past weekend, we had the pleasure of joining the city’s finest go-getters and philanthropists at the 16th annual motionball Toronto Gala. And like always, the event did not disappoint.
2,600 party-goers joined local celebrities and Special Olympic athletes for a night of Old Hollywood glamour at Liberty Grand. The venue was absolutely packed as Karl Wolf debuted his latest single Where You Go and DJ Skratch Bastid spun the crowd into a wild dance party.

Hosted by KiSS 92.5’s Devo Brown, some of the more notable guests that came to celebrate the initiative include Noah Cappe, Kai and Levi-Bent Lee, Mercedes Edison, Jamie Gutfreund, Nathan Downer, Patricia Jaggernauth, Bill Coulter, Gurdeep Ahluwalia, Pooja Handa, Travis Dhanraj, Arda Zakarian, 14-year-old YouTube sensation Madison Tevlin, and President of Special Olympics Canada Sharon Bollenbach.
Drinks were flowing alongside a specialty dessert bar and VIP guests had the opportunity to create custom selfie macarons with MakeLab.
This year, the 2017 motionball Toronto gala sponsored by AIR MILES raised $250,000 net for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation, bringing motionball’s total raised for the cause to over $7.5 million net since 2001.
