That’s right, we’re counting down the best Tequila Bars in Toronto for #NationalTequilaDay on Wed. July 24th. This should be a “feel free to ditch work and go day drinking” kind of Wednesday. If you were wondering what tequila bars to hit, (after you leave the office early) we’ve got you covered. National Tequila Day is bound to be wild at our favourite Tequila Bars in the 6ix.
Reposado Bar & Lounge
136 Ossington Ave.
If you’re looking for a selection of tequilas you’ve likely never seen anywhere else then Reposado Bar & Lounge is the perfect spot to hit up. The ambiance is always lively and buzzing and you’ve even got a nice outdoor patio to check out in the back. Let the afternoon heat bring back the spark to your Wednesday evening. With as many cocktail options centred on their tequila spirit, you’ll have no shortage of tequila at Reposado.

El Rey Mezcal Bar
2a Kensington Ave.
El Rey Mezcal is another Mexican-inspired bar — I mean we’re not surprised, we are talking about tequila bars here. Located in Kensington Market, you’ll get real cozy vibes from this place. It’s a smaller space with warm wooden décor. Not to worry, they still have a huge selection of alcoholic beverages and yes that includes lots and lots of tequila. They’ve also got a cute patio so you won’t have to worry about squeezing into the bar area too much. Grab a few tasty Mexican snacks along with your drinks and enjoy the summer evening.
Milagro Cantina
5 Mercer St. & 783 Queen St. W
The Milagro Cantina has two locations in Toronto and either one is going to offer you some insane tequila options. If you’re looking to be closer to the Entertainment District, stick to Milagro Cantina on Mercer St. If not, head to their Queen Street West location and sit at the bar for the closest view of all that tequila. Both restaurants will offer sit-down meals for you or the family’s enjoyment.
La Carnita
106 John St.
La Carnita also has a few locations in and around Toronto. We recommend the John St. location for its overflowing Spanish influence. With Mexican and Miami vibes aplenty, we recommend you try their margaritas. There’s nothing better than sipping on a sweet margarita while chowing down on some Tuna Tartare Tostada. La Carnita definitely has your tequila fix this National Tequila Day.
Playa Cabana Hacienda
14 Dupont St.
With over 50 tequila choices Playa Cabana Hacienda, not to be confused with its Playa Cabana counterpart, is the perfect stopover for Tequila Day. This cabana boasts a trendy hangout with lively and quaint vibes. Their reimagined Mexican-style eats are a great addition to all the tequila options we’re sure you’ll be trying out today.
