Prince Harry confirms he’s dating actress Meghan Markle and schools us on how to take care of a significant other in a time of need.
Just last week, publications began speculating that the 35-year-old Suits actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were linked romantically. The relationship supposedly began right here in Toronto, where honorary Canadian Markle is based.

“They are taking each week as it comes and just enjoying each other’s company but it’s fair to say that they love seeing each other and there’s a definite chemistry between them,” an insider close to Prince Harry told British Tabloid, The Sunday Express, “Harry has been desperate to keep the relationship quiet because he doesn’t want to scare Meghan off. He knows things will change when their romance is public knowledge but he also knows he can’t keep it a secret for long.”
And Prince Harry was right. It didn’t take long for media to start digging up everything they knew about Markle, spreading slander to sell magazine covers and drive traffic to their tabloids.
Just today, an official statement was released by Kensington Palace. Written by Prince Harry’s Communications Secretary, the note confirms that the two are, in fact, dating and very politely slams the press for the condemnation of Markle.
According to the letter, Markle has been the subject of, “The smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments,” as well as a victim of attempted break-ins and intrusion of privacy on all fronts, including harassment of her friends, co-workers, and loved ones. NOT COOL, PRESS. NOT COOL, AT ALL.

The letter also states that Prince Harry knows his life is intriguing and he’s used to the very regular publication of fictional stories written about him but this time, the press and media have crossed the line.
And fellas, here’s where you take note, and from a real prince to boot.
Prince Harry not only confirms that he is deeply invested in the new relationship by releasing this very public open letter but also comes to her defence in the classiest way possible, in a way that is completely out of the norm for him. Their relationship “is not a game – it is her life and his.” Mic drop.
It’s safe to say, Prince Harry is realest prince charming we ever did see.
