If there’s one thing us Torontonians love it’s celebrating our 6ix pride. What better screams Toronto than supporting local restaurants, Raptors and Kim’s Convenience/Marvel superhero, Simu Liu? The Shang Chi star was spotted at Sabai Sabai earlier this week enjoying a meal and a conversation with Chef Nuit Regular who refers to Simu as one of her “favourite Toronto actors”. He was also spotted dining at Tachi and catching a Raptors game…it really doesn’t get more Toronto than that.

Simu Liu Spotted in Toronto
Earlier this week, Simu Liu returned back to Toronto after a whirlwind of opportunities flying his way. From his role in Shang Chi, his recent campaign with Nobis and his appearance in Selling Sunset, it seems Simu may have outgrown Toronto. Well, I may have spoke too soon because he hasn’t forgotten where he grew up and has returned to The 6ix this week and shown support for some local favourites and the Raptors!

Sabai Sabai is the sister restaurant to another local fave, Pai. You can find items like Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Drunken Noodles and even an entire vegan menu at Sabai Sabai! Simu was spotted holding Chef Nuit Regular’s new cookbook, Kiin, in the photo above which we think would make a great holiday gift for any Toronto foodie!

Simu’s foodie adventure didn’t stop with Sabai Sabai! He was also spotted at Tachi. If you want to check out this Toronto fave, you can find Tachi inside of Chef’s Hall. Apparently sushi is some of Simu’s favourite foods! As if we needed another reason to love him!?
