While a lot of events across the city and country were put on hold, it’s truly exciting to see in-person events return one by one. Just like Biblio Bash 2022, which made a comeback after having to hit the pause button for two years. The annual gala took place at the Toronto Reference Library, which was presented by TD Bank Group. The event saw a host of public figures come together including authors and philanthropists.
Biblio Bash 2022 For The Toronto Public Library Foundation
So what was the vibe like at Biblio Bash 2022, you ask? To start off, it was hosted by none other than Tyrone Edwards, CTV’s eTalk cohost. But he wasn’t the only star of the show. Over 38 renowned Canadian authors came together as well, to showcase their support for the Toronto Public Library (TPL) Foundation.
Of course, one of the biggest highlights of the evening was the amount of funds raised, which was a whopping $837, 807! The best part? It was above the set goal put forth by the Foundation for the event. The amount is intended to go towards one of the TPL programmes known as Internet Connectivity Kits.

The guests were also greeted to a spoken word performance by Ontario’s Poet Laureate, Randell Adjei. Other entertainment on the agenda included things like a portrait studio, music, and a welcome champagne bar.
The gala was graced by the presence of many well-known figures, including CHFI’s Pooja Handa and Gurdeep Ahluwalia, Chef Nuit Regular, FASHION magazine Editor-in-Chief Bernadette Morra, journalist Carley Fortune and so many more.
The event came to a close with a sit-down dinner, courtesy of Cory Vitiello’s 10tation Event and Catering.
