Lookout Woodbine Beach frequenters, it seems Toronto’s beloved waterfront will be getting a groovy new addition this week. Scale Hospitality has launched a brand new burger joint, just in time for summer dining so hopefully, we will be able to get back to the patios soon! Toronto’s burger dreams are sure to come true this weekend with the grand opening of the burger joint as there is only one way to describe the exciting new GG’s Burgers- ‘Goodness Gracious’.

GG’s Burgers
Acclaimed restaurateur Hanif Harji (Shook, Lapinou, The Wheatsheaf Tavern, Patria, Byblos, FIGO) is testing out the waters at one of the city’s most popular beach locations for picnics, sunbathing and swimming. Incorporating vibes that are born of the psychedelic era of peace & love, GG’s Burgers is keeping all things funky and delicious at Woodbine Beach. The ’70s feel of the brand inspired GG’s Burgers design and the interior takes a modern approach to the era.
“Everyone has that favourite burger joint that transports them to a simpler time, and is reminiscent of days spent in the sun, near the water,” said Hanif Harji. “GG’s is pulling from those memories, using the highest quality ingredients and nostalgic recipes to create a super-cool beachside joint that welcomes everyone. We’re excited to share GG’s, and unveil its sister venues this summer when we can hopefully all get back to the beach.”
What’s on the Menu?
The GG’s menu will include beachside burger stand-inspired fare including a variety of smash burgers, crispy chicken, Nashville hot chicken, hot dogs, milkshakes, beer, canned cocktails and more! GG’s perfectly charred patties are topped with GG’s special sauce and fresh veggies stuffed in between a fresh sesame bun. The ‘Pardy Hardy’ group offerings, like The Sundown that includes 2 burgers, 2 crispy chickens, 2 hot dogs, 2 fries, 2 onion rings and 6 pops for $68, will be perfect for a time when outdoor activities are allowed again. The Details
GG’s Burgers will be opening this Friday, April 23, from 11 am-10 pm and you can find the groovy establishment at 1681 Lake Shore Blvd E. Orders are available for pickup or delivery through UberEats, Doordash, SkipTheDishes, Ritual and ggsburgers.com.
GG’s Burgers is the first of three projects from Scale Hospitality that will transform the boardwalk at Woodbine Beach, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.
