Although totally void of any sentiment this catchy chart topper became one of the year’s best selling, longest reigning songs with over 6 million copies sold and a total of 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard top Hot 100. Oh and Robin Thicke sang it at the VMA’s whilst grinding his crotch on Miley Cyrus’ behind so what better excuse to get your dirty dancing on than this naughty number.

Celebration: Kool and the Gang
This is of course the quintessential celebration song and what else is New Year’s Eve if not the biggest celebration of the year?!

Get Lucky: Daft Punk Ft. Pharrell
This was a huge summer hit rivalling Mr. Thicke and his musical entourage and in fact became their biggest hit since ‘Daft Punk’ started out 15 years ago. Pharrell’s immediately recognisable vocals paired with a funky dance beat make it an excellent addition to your NYE soundtrack.

Party Like It’s 1999: Prince
A solid reminder to never take advantage of this night and no matter what year you are ringing in you should always party, like it’s 1999.

Bruno Mars: Treasure
This multi-talented little chap ended the year with a bang after being named Billboard’s Top Overall Male Artist of 2013 and it’s catchy, upbeat tunes like this one that have grabbed everybody’s attention. You want more chicks on the floor, hit play on this.

A great dance tune that will act as the perfect soundtrack as you and 2013 get your party on and celebrate, just one more time.

We can’t stop: Miley Cyrus
Love her or hate her, Miss Cyrus was undoubtedly one of the most talked about celebs of 2013. So with this tune we salute her and hope that this dance floor acknowledgment is a good enough send off to ensure that 2014 contains less Miley Madness and that she does indeed, decide to stop or at the very least take it down a notch.
