According to the experts, the butt lift is the new breast augmentation. And it’s simpler than ever to get a rounder, fuller, and more sculpted butt. Whereas in the past a butt augmentation meant surgery, it’s now possible to shape and sculpt the buttocks – adding a little oomph that the gym alone can’t always achieve (no matter how many squats are involved) – without going under the knife.
Enter, the Liquid Butt Lift. Now available in Toronto, exclusively performed by the esteemed Dr. Sean Rice at Yorkville’s D Luxe Lab, the liquid butt lift uses filler injectables – traditionally used on the face – to shape the butt.

Dema Najjar, founder of the sleek medical spa, recently joined forces with Dr. Rice to offer the Liquid Butt Lift from Revanesse; a revolutionary procedure in the Canadian medical cosmetic industry that provides astonishing results.
Najjar says she’s excited to provide this sought-after treatment to her clients for a variety of reasons.
“Firstly, I trust the brand Revanesse, which we use in the clinic for facial injectables. Revanesse is a Canadian brand that has been in the market for a long time; it has a global presence and demand, and is produced and manufactured in Canada with guaranteed great results,” says Najjar. “Secondly, at D Luxe Lab we have always prided ourselves on offering the newest treatments to our clients and providing outstanding services.”
And there’s already a demand for this new procedure, according to Najjar.

“I personally am a big fan of the liquid butt lift, as I think this service is trending to be like the new boob job for this era and can be achieved for all genders with no limitations,” says Najjar. “The beauty of LBL is that it can treat different areas in the butt itself and it can be used for different reasons, for example shape, for correction or contouring, adding more volumes to some areas or enhancing the size of the butt.”
The procedure can also tackle cellulite and irregularities in the skin.

What makes this so exciting?
The liquid butt lift has been four years in the making. As a national and international trainer for polylactic acids and other injectables, I myself have sat on numerous advisory boards for various injectable companies, although this is the most exciting development I’ve come across in years. Over the past four years, we have worked to establish the methods, formulation and protocol to best address a client’s goals for their buttock enhancement and I’m excited we are now able to offer this treatment to the public.
What makes this procedure so unique?
Never before have we been able to offer large volume buttock enhancement with hyaluronic acid fillers. The liquid butt lift is the only treatment of its kind using an exclusive hyaluronic acid filler approved by Health Canada. With the liquid butt lift, we are able to create fullness and contour the shape for patients who are either not candidates for surgical Brazilian butt lifts, not interested in a surgical procedure, or patients who want a way to achieve buttock fullness with minimal to no downtime. Whether patients want to smooth their hip dips, sculpt a fuller buttock, create a heart shaped buttock, or would like to achieve an athletic look without all the squats, this goal can be created in under an hour with our exclusive liquid butt lift treatment.
How does it work?
A liquid butt lift uses hyaluronic acid to plump, shape, and add volume to the buttocks. This is done by injecting a hyaluronic acid filler under the skin in specific areas to increase the size and enhance the shape of the buttocks. The same approach has been used for facial injections with hyaluronic acid fillers for decades. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally forming substance (sugar) in the body. It will attract 1000 times it’s weight in water, which is what helps to build the desired effect, plump the skin, and make it look fuller and smoother. Eventually, hyaluronic acid will break down in the body and be absorbed. The liquid butt lift is an exclusive approach that utilizes larger volumes of hyaluronic acid unavailable elsewhere. It is a safe way to add volume and curves to the buttocks or smooth out irregularities.

Who is an ideal candidate for this procedure?
Many assume this is a treatment for just the young, although we’ve seen and treated clients of all ages. Lots of our clients fall between the 40-70-year-old range and are looking to fill in the volume lost that comes with aging or weight loss. An ideal candidate is someone looking to add volume and shape to their buttocks that is either not a candidate for surgical procedures, doesn’t want to undergo a surgical procedure, or is looking for something that will fit into their busy and active lifestyle with minimal to no downtime.
What is the down time/recovery?
Most patients experience little to no downtime from the liquid butt lift and resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. Some may feel tenderness or have slight bruising at the injection sites.
What’s your favourite thing about it?
NO DOWNTIME! Clients are able to return to their regular activities right away. There may be some tenderness and bruising at the injection sites but these will dissipate within a few days to a week. For busy active people who can’t afford the downtime of surgical options for buttock enhancements, the liquid butt lift is a great way to achieve the fullness and shape they want.

How much does it cost?
Liquid butt lift buttock augmentation fees start at $11,000 and go up from there. The average fee is typically $13,000. Hip dips can typically be filled for around $6,000 to $9,000. The cost is dependent on the size and shape desired by the client and their overall goals. Similar to facial uses in filler products, the amount of filler required to achieve the patients goals determines the cost of the procedure. Most patients are satisfied with one treatment but others do more.
How long does it last?
The liquid butt lift is a non-surgical procedure and is not permanent. Most clients find it lasts at least 18 months (it varies from person to person), with many still seeing results at 2 to 3 years.
Are there any misconceptions around it?
I think the biggest misconception is that this is a treatment for young women who are looking for very large buttock enhancement. Many of our clients do want to increase their size dramatically, but a great majority want to fill in lost volume due to age or weight loss and get their youthful shape back. We see women of all ages for this procedure looking to fill out their hip dips or buttocks for volume and shape.
