The briny scent of fresh oysters will fill the air as the Ontario Oyster Festival makes its long-awaited comeback this July. This beloved Toronto tradition returns for a new edition, promising a shucking good time for all. Freshly harvested oysters will take center stage, accompanied by refreshing drinks, live music, and a vibrant atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned shucker or a curious newcomer, the festival offers a chance to savour delicious seafood, support a good cause, and just have a blast. The event, taking place at Rodney’s Oyster House, is set to happen on July 21 from 1 pm-9 pm. As part of the festival, there will also be an Oyster Opening Championship. That means that Canada’s top shuckers will compete for the title and the opportunity to represent Ontario at the Canadian championships.
From music and premium beers to a variety of food stations, the festival’s going to have it all. Wines from Cave Spring, Small Winemakers, Collection, Noble Estates, Lex Wines, Big Head Winery and more will be offered, along with crafted cocktails by Dillons, Spring Mill Distillery, and Basil Hayden.

Tickets for the Ontario Oyster Festival can be purchased via Tock. They’re priced at $40 if you buy them online or $55 at the door. It comes with two drinks and one OYSTER plate ticket. The festival’s proceeds will support Ecology Action Centre, which works to ensure the conservation of Atlantic Canada’s waterways.
Rodney’s Oyster House laneway is located at 461-469 King Street West. The oyster bar restaurant offers oysters from both the East and West Coast. You can also find other kinds of seafood and dishes here, including scallops, lobster, mussels and more.
