OpenTable has unveiled its prestigious list of the Top 100 Restaurants in Canada for 2023. There are 41 restaurants from Ontario on the list, and 19 of them are located in Toronto. “Our 2023 data not only shows that diners are talking about culinary experiences within restaurant reviews, but their appetite has grown for them – with OpenTable Experiences seeing a 35% increase in seated diners from January to September, compared to last year,” Steve Sintra, Senior Vice President, OpenTable Americas, said in a press release statement.
This year, it was revealed that Torontonians enjoyed dining at these restaurants, earning them a place on the OpenTable Canada list:

The restaurants were selected based on a methodology that involved several factors. The metrics included diner ratings, percentage of reservations made in advance, and five-star reviews. This means that over 1.1 million diner reviews were checked to identify which restaurants were most in demand.
One of the trends the platform also picked up on was the increased interest Canadians have in mocktails. The words ‘non-alcoholic’ and ‘mocktail’ were amongst the top three trending ones in diner reviews YoY.
