Burger lovers, you’re going to want to hold onto your seats for this one. Shake Shack, the iconic New York City burger joint known for its juicy patties, crinkle-cut fries, and more is finally setting up shop in the heart of Toronto. Not only is it the first one in The 6ix, but it’s also the very first Canadian location for the fast-casual restaurant chain. Find out when and where it’s opening in Toronto.
This is where you can find Toronto’s first Shake Shack
It was announced last year Shake Shack will be opening in Toronto but the exact location wasn’t revealed. We finally now have the news of their new location it will be at the corner of Yonge and Dundas! Yep, right here in downtown Toronto.
“We’re excited to serve up our signature Shack classics along with some Canadian exclusives that we’ve developed with our local culinary partners to be enjoyed amongst Toronto’s dynamic cityscape,” Billy Richmond, Business Director at Shake Shack Canada, said in a press release statement.
While you’ll be enjoying the the classic ShackBurgers and fries, there’s also going to be a menu item that’s specifically for the Canadian market. For Toronto in particular, it’s the Maple Salted Pretzel Shake. It combines the brand’s famous vanilla frozen custard with the flavour of pure Canadian maple syrup.
When will Shake Shack open?
The location in The 6ix is set to open sometime during the summer this year. But if you drop by the location now, you’ll see an art installation on-site done by local Toronto artist, Briony Douglas. The artwork features iconic landmarks from Toronto’s rich history, like Honest Ed’s, Massey Hall, and Sam the Record Man.
Shake Shack is also giving Torontonians the chance to attend its Housewarming Party by hosting a giveaway. To enter, follow @shakeshackca and @briony on Instagram and tag a friend on Shake Shack Canada’s latest post. Every entry equals 5 meals up to 15,000 meals donated by the restaurant chain to Second Harvest.
