Pancakes might be considered a breakfast food, but I’m sure that for a lot of us, it makes a good meal for any time of the day. Especially when they’re something as fluffy as soufflé pancakes. In honour of National Pancake Day, you can get your hands on free pancakes right here in Toronto. This is thanks to a popular pancake spot in The 6ix that’s celebrating the occasion with a giveaway.
National Pancake Day in Toronto
The special day falls on February 21st but one brand is making it a week-long celebration. From February 13-20, there’ll be free pancakes handed out across different locations in the country. It’s the classic Soufflé Pancake from Fuwa Fuwa, a chain that’s known for its handcrafted Japanese-style pancakes.
The offer’s only available for one day at each of the locations.

- February 14 their Midtown Toronto location at 2471 Yonge St will give away free pancakes from 12 pm-8:30 pm
- February 15th the Downtown Toronto location at 408 Bloor St W will give away free pancakes from 12 pm-8:30 pm
- February 16 the Scarborough Town Centre location will give away free pancakes from 10 am to 8:30 pm.
They’re giving away up to 300 pancakes at each branch during the allotted times. You can also get $6 single pancakes on National Pancake Day at participating locations.
How can I get a free pancake?
Visit the location on the day and take a selfie while making a heart shape and share the photon on IG or TikTok using #fuwafuwaforever. The chain will be donating a Soufflé Pancake on your behalf to a local healthcare worker or post-secondary student who is not able to make it home for reading week. On February 21st, they will also be donating pancakes to community organizations.
