In 2021, Tim Hortons sold more than one million Orange Sprinkle Donuts in the country, as part of an initiative to help residential school survivors. This year, the Orange Sprinkle Donut campaign is coming back. The coffee chain is launching the campaign for a second time, aimed at supporting Indigenous charities.

The proceeds of the sales that are raised in Quebec will be offered to the New Pathways Foundation. The charity helps to combat poverty among the First Nations. And the proceeds gained from sales in the rest of Canada will be given to the Orange Shirt Society and the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
The campaign is taking place on September 30, with Orange Sprinkle Donuts available for purchase on that day. Customers can find it at all Tim Hortons locations in the country.

September 30 is also Orange Shirt Day, which has been observed since 2013. The inspiration behind it is Phyllis Webstad, who created the Orange Shirt Society, and the Every Child Matters movement.
