Laurent Miquel Nord Sud Viognier 2019
Meet Laurent Miquel and his hailed 100% Viognier from Corbières, France. This wine is ultra-loved by it’s fans and sells out every time it enters the LCBO. Laurent produces the “Nord Sud” cuvées from selected parcels of mature, naturally low-yielding vines at his family estate, in the south of France. It is night time harvested and is partially fermented in French oak barrels. This precious wine is uber fragrant with lovable notes of honeysuckle and stone fruits like peach and apricots. Balanced with texture and medium weight this wine is a pure delight to taste and is quite unique. If you love aromatic wines, Laurent Miquel Nord Sud Viognier is a must try wine and a cult favourite for wine nerds. The winery is HVE certified – the french sustainability certification. The French Ministry of Agriculture developed the Haute Valeur Environnementale or HVE certification in 2001, a three-tiered system that encourages farms and vineyards to focus on increasing biodiversity, decreasing the negative environmental impact of their phyto-sanitary strategy (i.e. measures for the control of plant diseases, reducing the use of pesticides and fungicides), managing their fertilizer inputs, and improving water management. Making every sip that much better!

Chateau de Montgueret Cremant de Loire Brut
Crement is sparkling wine made in the traditional method (just like Champagne) made in other parts of France. It’s one of my favourite sparkling wines and the price never breaks the bank! This sparkling is from The Loire Valley made with chenin and chardonnay and it’s just spectacular! Pair with your favourite playlist on Spotify, an outdoor patio brunch and a treat after a little retail therapy. Definitely one of the perfect wines for spring.
