Still need to get your COVID-19 vaccine but wondering where to do it? The Scotia Bank in Toronto is becoming a pop-up spot for vaccinations for one day only- next Sunday. This is a bid by the city to get as many doses administered to break a Canadian record, and you could be one of many to get your vaccination at the arena! On June 27, the city hopes that this pop-up vaccination clinic will vaccinate up to 10,000 people in a single day. The 6ix knows how to get things done!
Officials stated on Monday that “Clinic partners, led by University Health Network and Michael Garron Hospital, are planning to vaccinate more than 10,000 people on Sunday, in order to break the Canadian single day clinic record.”

Who Can Get Their Vaccine?
Anyone in Ontario who received their first vaccine on or prior to May 9 is eligible to receive their second dose at this pop-up sight. And as of this Wednesday, anyone who received their first vaccine on May 30 or earlier can also book their appointments at this pop-up site or any vaccination clinic around their area!
Concerning the second doses, Toronto’s mayor John Tory emphasized the importance of receiving it, saying, “We’re really putting a big push on with the second doses, because that’s going to be the key to safely reopening the city, making sure that as many people as possible have their second dose,”
He went on to further promote signing up for appointments at the Scotia Bank arena pop-up location, ““If you need a first dose or a second dose, please book your appointment for this record-breaking clinic. Taking part in Toronto Vaccine Day is a win-win. You’ll be a part of history and you’ll be protecting yourself, your family and our city’s progress in fighting COVID-19.”
